Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: June 8, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) lists activities that are prohibited on the OctopusLab platform. It applies to every project, every prompt, every deployment, and to every user — without exception. The AUP is part of our Terms of Service; violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, without refund.
1. Illegal and Harmful Content
You may not use the Service to create, host, distribute, or facilitate:
- Activity that is unlawful in your jurisdiction or in the jurisdiction of your users.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming content, or any content sexualizing minors. We report violations to relevant authorities.
- Terrorism, violent extremism, or incitement to violence.
- Promotion or facilitation of trafficking — in humans, drugs, weapons, endangered species, or stolen credentials.
2. Fraud, Deception, and Phishing
- Phishing pages, fake login screens, or sites impersonating other brands, services, or public figures.
- Pyramid schemes, “pump-and-dump”, rug pulls, or other crypto fraud.
- Counterfeit goods, ticket scalping using bots.

3. Malware and Abuse of Computing Resources
- Hosting, distributing, or generating malware, ransomware, or exploit kits.

- Republishing private personal data without lawful basis.
- Bypassing content paywalls or platform restrictions on other services.
7. Adult and Sexual Content
Pornographic and sexually explicit content is not permitted at this stage of the platform. We may later add a dedicated adult-content track with age-verification — until then, such content is prohibited.
8. Election and Civic Manipulation
- Coordinated inauthentic behaviour intended to mislead voters.
- Deepfakes presenting public figures in fabricated statements without clear context.
9. Platform Abuse
- Reverse-engineering, scraping, or otherwise probing the Service in ways not exposed by our documented API.
- Stress-testing, DoS or DDoS attempts against the Service or against any third party from our infrastructure.
- Sharing account credentials with unauthorised parties or operating multiple accounts to evade rate limits.
- Using the Service to develop a competing AI website-builder.
10. Sanctions and Export Controls
You may not use the Service if you, your organization, or your end users are subject to applicable sanctions or export-control restrictions (including United States, European Union, United Kingdom, and United Nations regimes).
11. Reporting
If you believe a project on OctopusLab violates this AUP, please email abuse@octopus-lab.app with the URL and a short description. We review reports within 72 hours.
12. Enforcement
We may, at our discretion and without prior notice:
- Remove violating content.
- Suspend or terminate the account responsible.
- Disable custom domains.
- Cooperate with law-enforcement authorities under valid process.
Termination for AUP violation does not entitle the violator to any refund of fees already paid.
